Tell About It
From “dragging my feet” to “can’t wait to share!”— transform your newsletter from a marketing task into a creative practice you actually love.
Tell About It is 8 weeks of thoughtful practice for artists and creators.
If you’re wrestling with how to market without sounding like a robot, if you’re watching your work go unseen, and you’ve tried forcing your work into someone else’s ‘tried and true’ templates that feel nothing like you… you’re in the right spot.
What if instead of all that, every time you clicked send you knew your emails were creating ripples of connection, growth, and aligned opportunities?
Enrollment opens quarterly with first spaces (and fun bonuses) offered to waitlist’ers!
THE STRUGGLE TO SHARE YOUR WORK ENDS HERE.
THE STRUGGLE TO SHARE YOUR WORK ENDS HERE.
You know that feeling?
When you sit down to write your newsletter and suddenly your voice feels fake, your work feels small, your words feel forced and your energy feels scattered? You’d literally rather be doing almost anything else (and you have a million things to do), so “send newsletter” gets put off to next week… again.
And somehow everyone else seems to have figured this out while you're still staring at a blank screen.
The thing is, if sharing your work feels hard, it's not because you're doing it wrong. It's because you're trying to do it someone else’s way.
You know your people are craving something real. Your voice. Your opinions and insights. Your reflections on the nuance of living.
After all, you’re a tender-hearted creative who wants to use your skills to support other people. You didn’t exactly get into business to sell — you're here to create. And that tension makes sharing your work feel really hard sometimes.
Your creative energy is necessary. And a newsletter is the perfect personalized platform for sharing your art/work.
Your people are craving real, human connection more than ever.
Which is great news for you, because standing out has never been easier.
In a world of:
🤖 AI-generated newsletters
📣 Aggressive marketing tactics
👀 Fake vulnerability
👻 Cookie-cutter templates
🗣️ And boring stories that quickly turn into “and here’s what getting my tire changed taught me about optimizing SEO…”
Now is the time to create something that cuts through the noise — a newsletter that connects with people on a human to human level.
Tell About It is an 8 week program where I will show you, step by step, how to build a newsletter that feels true to you.
Unlike traditional marketing programs that focus on tactics and sales strategies, Tell About It is built around you — your voice, your values, and your creative vision.
We’ll work together to create an approach to email marketing that aligns with who you are and what your audience cares about, so each newsletter feels like a natural extension of your creative identity.
Walk away with more than a plan.
We’re going to rebuild your entire relationship with trust-based marketing and self-expression.
You’ll get…
A newsletter you’re proud to share, one that excites your audience and feels aligned with your values.
A system for creating content that feels natural and sustainable, not forced or salesy.
A sustainable strategy that fits your life, energy, and creativity—so sending newsletters no longer feels overwhelming.
Personally developed systems that work for you, making it easy to create and share consistently, with less stress and more joy.
Confidence in your voice, and practice showing up as more of yourself in your work, knowing that what you share matters and actually resonates with your audience and builds community around your work.
Tools and strategies to consistently engage your audience and grow your email list and business without relying exclusively on social media.

A DECADE IN BUSINESS WITH NO EMAIL LIST → A CLEAR, DIRECT WAY TO CONNECT WITH CLIENTS AND SHARE PERSONAL INSIGHTS BEYOND JUST OFFERS
Ten years in business and I’m embarrassed to admit I don’t have an email list. I couldn’t be doing this without Eliza. No matter what you have to offer the world, Eliza can help you share it in a way you never thought possible. – Anya Maria Photography, Tell About It 2021
A TOPIC OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE → SUPPORTIVE GUIDANCE THAT MADE COMPLEX TOPICS APPROACHABLE
I would tell anyone who will listen to work with Eliza. There is a calm sun-dappled ease to the way Eliza communicates that made a topic that is so out of my zone of genius enjoyable for me. - Jessica Butler, Tell About It 2023

Beyond Just Another Newsletter Strategy — This is about transforming your entire relationship with sharing your work.
Imagine Your Newsletter Practice Looking Like This:
Opening your laptop with actual energy to share (not just staring at the blank screen wondering "is this even interesting?")
Having a thoughtfully collected bank of topics to choose from today, brimming with half-finished thoughts, interesting moments, and creative insights you can’t wait to explore further (instead of asking yourself to “give value”)
Knowing exactly how to turn your creative thinking into engaging stories (like that time you scrapped an entire project and started over - and why that matters)
Writing in your real voice (not your "professional email voice" that sounds nothing like you)
Actually hitting send without second-guessing every word (goodbye 3-hour editing spiral)
Building connections that turn into opportunities (like that reader who became a client because they knew your values were totally aligned)
This Isn't About:
Following the "write like this to maximize opens" formula
Pretending to be vulnerable while actually saying nothing
Writing how you think the "professionals" would write
Using psychology tricks to "hook" your readers
Forcing yourself to be consistent when you actually need space
Turning yourself into a "thought leader"
This is human-first, trust-based creative email marketing that works.
The space between art & marketing (that's where I live)
Hey, I’m Eli
Some people teach marketing. Some people understand artists. I live in the space between.
As an expressive arts therapy graduate turned creative business coach, I've spent years studying how people actually create - not how marketing "experts" think they should.
What I've learned:
The creative process is inherently messy
Templates squash authentic expression
Real connection happens in the imperfect moments
Marketing can be rooted in trust and a creative practice
Your sensitivity to the world around you helps us all
This is why Tell About It isn't just another marketing program. It's a creative practice that happens to grow your business.
My Promise to You:
No forcing yourself into someone else's formula
No pretending to be more "professional" than you are
No sacrificing your creative integrity for sales
No pushing through when you need to pause
No separating your artist self from your business self
Instead: We'll create a newsletter practice that feels as natural as making your art. Because sharing your work should feel as good as creating it.
Have We Met?
WHO AM I TO TEACH YOU HOW TO CREATE A THRIVING NEWSLETTER?
For years, I wrestled with the tension between doing meaningful, creative work and making it marketable. I know now they’re not opposites—they’re woven from the same thread. I’ve spent my career helping creatives find their authentic expression, not through gimmicks or sales tactics, but through deep, genuine connection and approaches to marketing that work.
I built Tell About It because I know the weight of holding ideas you want to share but feeling stuck. This isn’t about becoming a perfect marketer— it’s about bringing all parts of who you are to the table and creating something only you can.
There’s a lot of things I don’t know how to do (boil the perfect egg or stay emotionally detached when watching septuagenarians fall in love on the Golden Bachelorette for example), but showing artists how to share their work, tell their story, and create a space to share the ideas that make this life beautiful? That one I’ve got down.
Mary Oliver, queer patron saint and soul-affirming poet, says we must Pay attention. Be astonished. tell about it.
I know you're paying attention. You're allowing for astonishment. Now it's time to Tell About It.
Got Questions? Fortunately for you I could talk about artful marketing all day.

The only reason we don’t do a thing we want to do is because for some reason, it’s hard. In Tell About It, we’ll work together to create a system that’s simple for you to stick with because it’s personalized to your needs– not the needs of someone who has creative ideas and an inherent, religious adherence to their linear to-do list. You’ll walk away with the skills to share your thoughts and a flexible, structured system for creating a newsletter that feels enjoyable to maintain, so you can finally start sharing your thoughts without burning out.
-
Whether you’re just starting to ideate on a newsletter or revitalizing an existing list, Tell About It’s robust collection of modules and hands-on coaching is designed to meet you where you are. We’ll cover everything from determining the purpose of your newsletter to crafting a welcome sequence that connects with your readers to list-building strategies that feel good to even the most tech-averse creator.
-
The short answer: I’ve watched small newsletters aide multi-five figure launches.
The long answer: As you share your ideas, heart, and stories, you open doors for opportunities– be it more soul-aligned clients or deepened connections with future collaborators. A newsletter offers a unique space to connect with your people on your terms– without an algorithm dictating your reach. Authentic connections and trust are built over time, and a newsletter creates the space for you to share what matters without the pressure to perform. It’s not about overnight results— it’s about taking grounded action in the direction of your dreams.
-
You don’t need perfectly polished offers, a steady Instagram presence, or specific business metrics to belong here. Tell About It meets you wherever you are, helping you clarify your message, build momentum, and connect with your audience. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining what you’ve built, this program is about creating a space to share your work authentically— no prerequisites required.
-
Not exactly. Tell About It offers more than pre-recorded lessons— it’s a live, interactive mentorship program. While you’ll have access to a library of educational resources, I designed this program to work for my relationally-oriented, neurodivergent self: real-time support, personalized feedback, and collaborative learning.
The last thing you need is another static course that tells you how to do something. What you actually need is someone to dig into your work with you, highlight what you’re already doing brilliantly, and show you how your newsletter can look and function so you can create and connect with the people who want to work with you.
Tell About It includes plenty of learning opportunities and educational guides, created to bolster foundations anywhere you’re not feeling clear, but at its core, Tell About It is a live and guided mentorship that utilizes learning modules to keep everyone moving forward.
-
No one has asked this but I do want you to know: Mary Oliver, a favorite poet, wrote this phrase and it captures everything I believe in: pay attention, be astonished, tell about it.
